The Warehouse Associate is a professional multitasker who will support the team for receiving, handling, storing, picking, and packing activities within the warehouse, ensuring quality standards are met at every turn. The ideal candidate is exceptionally detail oriented, and able to track multiple facets of the warehouse at any given time. You must achieve inventory accuracy, coordinate orders, and track shipping times assisting other personnel.
What You Will Do:
- Properly pack items to be shipped according to company standards to ensure they arrive in excellent condition
- Monitor and report any missing or lost inventory to management or Lead/Supervisor
- Verify all incoming shipments to be accurate by comparing the invoice to the order and ensure all goods are in excellent condition
- Organize stocks and maintain inventory
- Inspect products for defects and damages
- Examine incoming and outgoing shipments
- Assist with product and paperwork sortation
- Assist drivers in load out
- Receive load scan items as required
- Organize warehouse space
- Receive, unload and place incoming inventory items appropriately
- Check, verify and fill customer invoices.
- Abide by all company safety and hygiene regulations
- Contribute ideas on ways to improve or optimize warehousing procedures
- Keep warehouse clean and organized
- Load and unload materials, both palletized and floor loaded product
- Other duties as assigned.
Work Location & Schedule:
- Monday – Friday 1:00am-10:00am
- Our warehouse is located at 250 Aero Link NE Calgary and is not transit accessible; all employees are responsible to provide their own reliable transportation to and from work.
You’re a Great Fit If You Have:
- 1-2 years of warehouse experience
- The ability to maintain a high level of physicality for prolonged periods and working primarily standing and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds consistently
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment while maintaining strong attention to detail
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
- Experience using a forklift (a professional forklift certification is required).
- The ability to problem solve quickly and prioritize daily tasks according to their importance
- A customer service mentality
- Reliable transportation to and from work
- Clear understanding of English language both verbal and written
- Adequate knowledge of a warehouse data system
