About the Role
Roelands Plant Farms is looking for a reliable, detail-oriented team member to join our grafting department. This role supports our grafting operations, which combine hands-on grafting work with the use of our semi-automatic grafting machine. Day-to-day tasks will vary based on order volume and production needs, with busier hours and increased workload during peak season.
What You'll Do
- Operate the semi-automatic grafting machine when required for larger orders
- Switch between hand-grafting and machine-operating duties as production schedules demand
- Perform hand-grafting tasks accurately and efficiently, following company standards
- Maintain quality and consistency across all grafted plants/stock
- Contact the machine provider in Holland directly for technical support as needed
- Work with the maintenance team on repairs, servicing, and general upkeep of the machine
- Keep your workstation and equipment clean and in good working order
- Follow all safety procedures, especially when operating machinery
What We're Looking For
- Previous grafting or nursery/greenhouse experience an asset, but not required — training provided
- Comfortable learning to operate machinery
- Comfortable working in a hot and humid greenhouse environment
- Good hand-eye coordination and attention to detail
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks
- Must speak English
- Team player who can adapt to changing daily tasks
- Available to work weekends, holidays, and early mornings as required
Pay: $23.00 per hour
