Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and friendly Kitchen Helper / Cashier to join our team. This role involves supporting food preparation, ensuring food safety standards, and providing excellent customer service at the cashier station. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the food industry, experience in food handling, and a positive attitude to create a welcoming environment for our customers.
Duties
- Assist in food preparation and meal assembly, ensuring quality and presentation standards are met
- Support kitchen staff with basic cooking tasks and food handling procedures
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including sanitizing surfaces and equipment
- Operate the cash register efficiently, handle transactions accurately, and provide friendly service to customers
- Serve customers at the counter, take orders, and answer questions about menu items
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and proper storage of ingredients
- Restock supplies as needed to ensure smooth kitchen operations
- Assist with cleaning duties in both the kitchen and dining areas to uphold hygiene standards
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service, restaurant, or kitchen environment is preferred but not mandatory
- Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to serve customers professionally with excellent communication skills
- Basic cooking skills and familiarity with meal preparation are advantageous
- Strong attention to cleanliness, organization, and safety standards
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a friendly demeanor
- Flexibility to work various shifts as needed, including weekends or evenings if required
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills in the food industry
Pay: $17.20-$18.00 per hour
