Responsibilities
- Prepare and bake a variety of pastries, cakes, and desserts with attention to detail and presentation.
- Assist in food preparation, including chopping, mixing, and assembling ingredients for daily menu items.
- Decorate cakes and desserts using cake decorating techniques to ensure visually appealing products.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, adhering to food safety and sanitation standards.
- Package baked goods and desserts for retail or catering purposes, ensuring quality control.
- Support the kitchen team during busy periods by efficiently managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Follow recipes accurately and contribute to menu development with creative ideas.
- Ensure proper food handling procedures are followed at all times to promote safety and hygiene.
Experience
- Previous experience in a restaurant or bakery setting is highly preferred.
- Skilled in cake decorating, baking, and food presentation techniques.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper food handling practices.
- Experience with food preparation, cooking, and packaging in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong understanding of kitchen operations within the food industry.
- Excellent customer service skills are a plus, especially when interacting with guests or clients.
