The Role
Ocean freight is a fast-moving game of logistics, timing, and relationships,and we need someone who can play it well. As our Ocean Logistics Specialist, you'll own the ocean freight process end to end: pricing, booking, documentation, and problem-solving, all while building the carrier and customer relationships that keep business coming back. If you like being the person who makes complicated shipments look easy, this is your seat.
What You'll Do
Manage ocean freight shipments from origin to destination, keeping deliveries on time and on target.
Build competitive pricing strategies that win and retain customers.
Negotiate rates with carriers and suppliers to secure the best terms.
Coordinate bookings and track shipments across carriers, shippers, and consignees.
Prepare and review documentation, bills of lading, invoices, packing lists.
Keep shipments compliant with international regulations and customs requirements.
Give customers clear, proactive status updates.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues before they become problems.
Strengthen relationships with carriers, suppliers, and customers.
Partner with the internal team to streamline logistics processes.
What You Bring
Minimum 3 years of experience in ocean freight logistics or a comparable role.
Solid grasp of international shipping regulations and customs procedures.
Sharp communication and negotiation skills.
An eye for detail and the organization to back it up.
Comfort juggling multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment.
