Fast growing company is looking for a hydraulic cylinder assembler/industrial painter to join our production team. We are seeking an ambitious and progressive candidate to work in a fast paced environment with tight deadlines. This is a great opportunity to be part of a growing team manufacturing hydraulic cylinders for our customers across Ontario. The position will involve splitting duties in both the assembly and painting departments as needed.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS : This position will require proficient, correct, timely and safe execution of the following work tasks:
- Must be able to read blueprints and interpret drawings
- Prepare components, assemble and test hydraulic cylinders
- Operate grinders, drill presses and band saws as required
- Communicate with production supervisor to resolve production or quality issues
- Maintain equipment and orderly workspace
- Must be a strong team player with attention to detail and good communication skills.
- Safely operate, clean and maintain all paint spray equipment, including the paint booth, guns, pots, and solvent based cleaner.
- Apply non-isocyanate epoxy primer and multi-part paint and other non-metallic protective and decorative coatings to surfaces of various component parts using spray guns
- Select appropriate paint and mix same, using automated paint mixing equipment according to a pre-determined formula.
- Clean and prepare items for application of paint.
- Mask areas using masking tape or grease to omit paint as specified.
- Paint smaller items and apply touch-ups using brush methods.
- Maintain accurate records.
- Cross train within other departments as may be required on a temporary basis.
The successful candidate has a positive attitude, is open minded, willing to learn and is flexible along with the following qualifications:
- min 3 years of related industrial / manufacturing or paint experience
- Quality conscious, meticulous, and seasoned paint booth operator / painter
