Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Food Service Counter Attendant to join our team. This role involves providing excellent customer service, preparing food items, and maintaining a clean and sanitized environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in food service or the food industry, with strong skills in cashiering, food handling, and time management. Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and take their orders accurately
- Prepare and assemble food items according to company standards and safety guidelines
- Operate cash registers and handle cash transactions efficiently and accurately
- Upsell menu items to enhance customer experience and increase sales
- Ensure all food handling and sanitation procedures are followed to maintain food safety standards
- Maintain cleanliness of the counter area, including sanitizing surfaces and equipment
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve customers promptly
- Assist in restocking supplies and organizing the work area for smooth operations
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues professionally
Skills
- Experience in food preparation, cashiering, or food service preferred, especially within restaurants or the food industry
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly demeanor
- Ability to handle cash accurately and perform basic math calculations for transactions
- Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and proper food handling procedures
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks during peak hours
- Kitchen experience or restaurant background is advantageous
- Ability to upsell menu items effectively to enhance sales opportunities
- Good communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
