We are currently looking for motivated, hard-working individuals to join our team as Apprentice Electricians.
Position Overview:
As an Apprentice Electrician, you will work closely with experienced electricians, gaining hands-on training and experience in all aspects of electrical systems, installations, and repairs. This apprenticeship provides an excellent opportunity for growth, learning, and career advancement within the electrical trade. You will work on diverse projects, from new construction to maintenance and upgrades of electrical systems.
Responsibilities:
- Assist licensed electricians with installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems.
- Learn to read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams.
- Perform basic electrical tasks such as wiring, conduit installation, grounding, and panel work.
- Safely use hand and power tools and follow all safety protocols.
- Troubleshoot electrical problems and perform necessary repairs under supervision.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Complete required coursework and attend training sessions to fulfill apprenticeship requirements.
- Document work performed and ensure compliance with local electrical codes and regulations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
- Completion of NSCC Electrical Construction and Industrial course or equivalent
- Strong interest in electrical work and a willingness to learn.
- Basic understanding of electrical systems is an asset.
- Ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to lift heavy materials and work in physically demanding environments.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (may be required depending on location).
Preferred Qualifications (Not Required):
- Previous experience or coursework related to electrical systems or trade skills.
- First aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
