Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Auto Body Technician to join our automotive repair team. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a dealership or auto body environment and possess strong mechanical knowledge. This role involves repairing and restoring vehicles to their original condition, ensuring quality workmanship and customer satisfaction. Candidates with hands-on experience using hand tools, power tools, and heavy lifting techniques are encouraged to apply. A background in automotive repair is highly valued for this position.
Responsibilities
- Assess vehicle damage and develop repair plans in accordance with manufacturer standards
- Perform body repairs including dent removal, panel replacement, and alignment adjustments
- Use hand tools, power tools, and heavy lifting equipment to carry out repairs efficiently and safely
- Prepare vehicles for painting, including sanding, masking, and priming surfaces
- Conduct quality inspections to ensure repairs meet safety and aesthetic standards
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment to promote safety and efficiency
- Collaborate with team members to complete repairs within designated timeframes
Qualifications
- Previous dealership experience or automotive repair background preferred
- Strong mechanical knowledge of vehicle systems and body structures
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and heavy lifting equipment
- Experience with automotive painting, sanding, and panel replacement is a plus
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and stand for extended periods
- Valid driver’s license is preferred but not mandatory
