Overview
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Dishwasher/Kitchen Helper to join our busy food service team. This role is essential in maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen environment, supporting the overall operation of our restaurant. The ideal candidate will have an eye for food safety and cleanliness, with a willingness to learn and assist in various kitchen tasks. Prior restaurant or food industry experience is a plus but not required, as training will be provided.
Duties
- Wash, sanitize, and store dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment to ensure cleanliness standards are met
- Assist with meal preparation and food handling as needed, supporting chefs and kitchen staff
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including counters, sinks, and storage spaces
- Help with food prep tasks such as chopping vegetables or assembling ingredients under supervision
- Support serving staff during busy service times by clearing tables and delivering items when necessary
- Follow food safety guidelines and proper hygiene practices at all times to ensure a safe dining environment
- Assist in maintaining inventory levels of cleaning supplies and kitchen essentials
Experience
- Previous experience in a restaurant or food service setting is preferred but not mandatory
- Familiarity with cooking, meal preparation, or food handling is advantageous
- Knowledge of food safety standards within the food industry is beneficial
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Willingness to learn new skills related to kitchen operations and food safety protocols
Pay: $17.60 per hour
