Job Summary
We are starting dinner services at Tonique!! We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our vibrant culinary team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about food preparation, cooking, and delivering exceptional food service experiences. This role offers an opportunity to work in a fast-paced restaurant environment where attention to food safety and quality is paramount. The Line Cook will be responsible for preparing menu items efficiently while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety.
Duties
- Prepare and cook a variety of menu items according to recipes and restaurant standards
- Assist in food preparation, including chopping, portioning, and assembling ingredients
- Ensure all dishes are presented attractively and served promptly
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen station throughout shifts
- Follow proper food handling procedures to ensure safety and hygiene
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations
- Adhere to food safety regulations and maintain compliance with health standards
- Assist with inventory management by monitoring supplies and notifying management of shortages
Experience
- Prior food service experience in a restaurant or food industry setting is preferred
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and meal assembly
- Familiarity with food handling safety protocols and sanitation standards
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment with multiple responsibilities simultaneously
- Strong understanding of serving, kitchen operations, and food safety practices
- Previous experience in a similar role will be considered an asset but is not mandatory for motivated learners
