Job Description
We are looking to hire an experienced full-time Fleet Maintenance Coordinator for our Milton, Ontario terminal. The Fleet Maintenance Coordinator is responsible for coordinating day-to-day office operations. Managing and maintaining a fleet of 130+ trucks, including overseeing inspections and repairs. This role embodies an exceptional career opportunity for a person familiar with a variety of transportation vehicles, equipment, service requirements, and transport legislation.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Track, organize, and schedule inspections, preventative maintenance, and repairs for a fleet of 130 company-owned trucks across ten terminals.
- Investigate equipment damage, document findings, and coordinate repair services to ensure timely resolution.
- Process electronic invoices, purchase orders, and service requests related to vehicle maintenance and repairs.
- Respond to inquiries from internal departments, drivers, and external vendors via phone and email.
- Collaborate with maintenance vendors to ensure repairs are completed efficiently and within established timelines.
- Monitor vehicle mileage and maintenance records to support compliance with company and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate forklift maintenance and repair activities, ensuring daily inspection procedures are completed and documented.
- Maintain accurate records and provide administrative support related to fleet maintenance operations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of processing invoices, purchase orders, and managing service calls related to vehicle repairs. strong asset.
- Well-organized, punctual, and computer literate—with an emphasis on spreadsheets and email applications.
- Previous experience within the Transportation/Logistics Industry.
- Excellent communication skills both oral and written.
- Proven problem-solving skills and a demonstrated ability to achieve operational goals.
- Ability to work under pressure and handle several complex tasks simultaneously.
- Ability to work effectively, efficiently, and courteously with other staff.
