Job Overview
We are seeking energetic and personable Bar Staff to join our vibrant team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality, excellent customer service skills, and experience in food and beverage service. This role involves preparing and serving drinks, maintaining a clean and welcoming environment, and ensuring guests have a memorable experience. Previous experience in the food industry or restaurant setting is preferred, along with familiarity with POS systems like Micros POS. The position offers an opportunity to develop skills in food safety, cash handling, and hospitality operations.
Duties
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages efficiently and accurately
- Take customer orders using POS systems such as Micros POS, ensuring correct entry and transaction processing
- Handle cash transactions with accuracy, including cash handling and basic math calculations
- Maintain cleanliness of the bar area, including glassware, utensils, and work surfaces in compliance with food safety standards
- Serve food and drinks to customers in a timely manner while providing excellent customer service
- Manage bar stock levels, restock supplies as needed, and assist in inventory management
- Ensure adherence to food safety regulations and responsible alcohol service policies
- Engage with guests to create a welcoming atmosphere and handle any customer inquiries or concerns professionally
- Assist with opening or closing duties as required, including cashing out customers and cleaning responsibilities
Experience
- Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS is advantageous
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with guests
- Knowledge of food safety standards and responsible alcohol service practices
- Basic math skills for cash handling, making change, and order calculations
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during busy periods
- Ability to work well within a team in a fast-paced hospitality setting
