Job Summary:
Finn Construction Ltd. is looking for a Class 1A Truck Driver to haul base material from Blackstrap to Whitecap using our semi. This is a short-term position expected to run approximately 2-3 weeks, starting as soon as possible, with the opportunity for full-time employment for the right candidate if things go well.
This position is based out of the Saskatoon area and would be suitable for someone looking for immediate work with a local construction company.
Responsibilities:
- Haul base material between Blackstrap and Whitecap
- Operate an automatic Class 1A company semi safely and responsibly
- Complete daily pre-trip inspections and basic paperwork as required
- Secure loads and following proper hauling procedures
- Communicate with supervisors, site personnel, and other drivers
- Follow company safety policies and applicable transportation requirements
Requirements:
- Valid Class 1A driver's license
- Experience operating a semi/truck and trailer
- Reliable, punctual, and available for an immediate start
- Strong attention to safety and equipment care
- Good communication and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and follow instructions
- Acceptable driver's abstract
