Peace Country Rentals is seeking a reliable and hardworking Yard Hand / Delivery Driver to join our team in Chetwynd. This is a full-time position ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors, operating equipment, and helping maintain a professional rental fleet.
Position Details
- Full-time, permanent
- Monday to Friday
- 8-hour shifts
- Starting wage: $22.00 per hour
- Opportunities for training and advancement
Responsibilities
- Assist with the general maintenance, cleaning, and organization of rental equipment and fleet vehicles
- Perform equipment deliveries and pickups for customers
- Load, unload, and secure equipment for transport
- Complete routine inspections and report maintenance concerns
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized yard
- Assist mechanics and service staff as required
- Provide professional customer service during deliveries and customer interactions
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures
Qualifications
- Valid Class 5 Driver's Licence required
- Class 7 applicants will also be considered
- Ability to lift and move equipment and materials safely
- Mechanical aptitude is considered an asset
- Experience operating equipment or working in a rental, construction, oilfield, or industrial environment is an asset
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
