DevOps Architect:
On behalf of our Automotive client, Procom is searching for a DevOps Architect for a 3 month contract role. This position is a hybrid position with 3 days onsite at our client’s Markham, Ontario office.
DevOps Architect - Job Description:
Our client is modernizing enterprise software delivery by consolidating CI/CD on GitHub Actions, embedding DevOps, and laying the foundation for AI-assisted engineering. The Principal DevOps Architect will define the target-state platform and drive alignment with the internal Architecture team, focusing on architecture, standards, and modernization.
DevOps Architect - Responsibilities:
- Define the enterprise DevOps reference architecture and platform standards.
- Build the internal developer platform with reusable GitHub Actions workflows, semantic versioning, and trunk-based development standards.
- Embed shift-left security into strategic pipelines and own SOX-aligned controls.
- Align with regional teams on CI/CD, IaC, and governance.
- Deliver framework assessments, standards matrices, and common tooling strategies.
DevOps Architect - Mandatory Skills:
- 12+ years in DevOps, platform engineering, or enterprise architecture.
- Experience in a regulated environment (SOX, SOC 2, HIPAA, or PCI).
- Expertise in GitHub Enterprise Cloud, GitHub Actions, AWS (EKS/EC2/S3), Terraform, and Kubernetes.
- Strong grounding in Entra ID / SAML SSO and secrets management.
- Executive communication skills for audit-ready ADRs.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
DevOps Architect – Nice-to-Have Skills:
- AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional or AWS Solutions Architect – Professional.
- Microsoft Certified: DevOps Engineer Expert or Azure Solutions Architect Expert.
- GitHub Actions or GitHub Advanced Security Certification.
- Experience with AI-assisted engineering.
- Familiarity with DORA-metric dashboards.

This is a 3 month contract position.
