Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Truck Driver Class 1 &/or 3 to operate commercial vehicles safely and efficiently. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting freight over designated routes, ensuring timely deliveries, and maintaining the highest safety standards. Duties
- Safely operate Class 1 or Class 3 trucks for freight transportation across various routes.
- Load and unload freight using forklifts or other heavy equipment as needed.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations.
- Maintain accurate documentation of deliveries, mileage, fuel usage, and vehicle logs.
- Assist with the operation of heavy equipment when required, including forklifts and other machinery.
- Perform minor automotive repairs or troubleshooting to ensure vehicle functionality.
- Follow all traffic laws, safety procedures, and company policies during operations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, clients, and team members to coordinate deliveries and resolve issues promptly.
- Ensure the secure loading of freight to prevent damage during transit.
Requirements
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class 1 or Class 3 with a clean driving record.
- Experience in commercial driving, freight transportation, or related fields preferred.
- Knowledge of heavy equipment operation such as forklifts is a plus.
- Ability to perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting on trucks and equipment.
- Familiarity with safety regulations and procedures related to commercial vehicle operation.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation and vehicle maintenance logs.
- Ability to operate heavy machinery safely and efficiently.
- Physical ability to lift heavy loads, operate equipment, and perform manual tasks as required.
