Acara Solutions is currently recruiting for an Operations Supply Chain Coordinator on behalf of our client in Aurora, Ontario.
This position is ideal for a procurement or supply chain professional with experience in a manufacturing environment who enjoys working cross-functionally with operations, warehouse, and production teams. The successful candidate will play a key role in purchasing, supplier management, inventory optimization, and supporting production through efficient procurement practices.

Source, negotiate, and purchase Maintenance, Repair and Operations (MRO) materials, office supplies, and plant-related products.

Analyze purchase requirements and ensure purchasing requests are accurate and complete.

Collaborate with internal departments to clarify specifications and purchasing needs.

Source and evaluate new suppliers based on quality, cost, delivery, and service.

Issue purchase orders and manage supplier relationships.

Resolve purchasing, delivery, and supplier issues in a timely manner.

Maintain purchasing records, pricing databases, and supplier information.

Monitor inventory levels and work with warehouse and operations teams to ensure material availability while minimizing excess inventory.

Support cost reduction initiatives through strategic sourcing and vendor consolidation.

Participate in supplier approval processes and procurement compliance activities.

Prepare monthly purchasing reports and assist with inventory counts.

Provide backup support for production scheduling when required.

Minimum 3 years of purchasing, procurement, or buying experience, preferably within a manufacturing environment.

Experience purchasing MRO materials, production supplies, or indirect commodities is considered an asset.

Strong understanding of procurement, inventory management, and supplier performance.

Excellent negotiation, communication, and organizational skills.

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.

Experience working with ERP systems is considered an asset.

Currently enrolled in, or willing to work toward, a PAC Packaging Certificate is considered an asset.

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
