Allen Mechanical Inc. has been serving the Kingston area for over 35 years and is looking for a dependable, motivated Truck Driver / Shop Support team member to join our growing company.
This is a full-time, long-term position offering competitive pay, an excellent benefits package, and the opportunity to work with one of the region’s most respected mechanical contractors.
Responsibilities
- Deliver plumbing, HVAC, and sheet metal materials safely and efficiently to construction sites throughout the Kingston area.
- Pick up materials, equipment, and parts from suppliers.
- Organize and maintain a clean, safe, and efficient warehouse and shop.
- Receive, unload, inspect, and inventory incoming deliveries.
- Prepare materials and equipment for upcoming jobs.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries and material movements.
- Assist with loading and unloading company vehicles.
- Keep tools, equipment, and inventory organized and in good working order.
- Work closely with project managers, foremen, and office staff to ensure jobs run efficiently.
- Operate company vehicles safely while representing Allen Mechanical in a professional manner.
Qualifications
- Experience in the plumbing, HVAC, or mechanical construction industry is preferred.
- Valid Ontario driver’s licence with a clean driving record (DZ licence is considered an asset).
- Forklift experience is an asset.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to lift and move construction materials.
- Positive attitude with excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Dependable, punctual, and self-motivated.
