Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Financial Analyst for a contract/temporary opportunity in Mississauga, ON. This role is ideal for a finance professional with strong reporting, forecasting, and analysis experience who enjoys turning financial and operational data into clear business insights.
As a Financial Analyst, you will support the financial operations of an assigned division within a retail environment, partnering with finance leadership and cross-functional business teams. This opportunity offers exposure to P&L reporting, budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and performance analysis in a fast-paced, collaborative setting with supportive leadership and strong team interaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Support divisional financial operations, including reporting, forecasting, budgeting, and financial analysis.
- Prepare and analyze daily and monthly P&L reports, ensuring accuracy and completeness through the general ledger close process.
- Conduct variance and trend analysis to identify key business drivers, risks, opportunities, and performance insights.
- Develop, maintain, and enhance financial models to support planning, forecasting, and decision-making.
- Partner with business leaders and finance leadership to validate forecasts, monitor performance, and provide actionable recommendations.
- Improve reporting processes, data extraction, reporting tools, and databases to increase efficiency, accuracy, and visibility.
