Overview
We are seeking a skilled CNC Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up, programming, and operating various CNC machines to produce high-quality precision parts. This role requires strong mechanical knowledge, attention to detail, and proficiency with a variety of manufacturing tools and software. The CNC Machine Operator will play a vital role in ensuring efficient production processes and maintaining quality standards across all operations.
Duties
- Set up and operate CNC milling machines, lathes, and press brake machines using CAD/CAM software such as SolidWorks and CNC programming techniques.
- Program CNC equipment utilizing Fanuc controls and manage programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for automated operations.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and schematics to produce parts according to specifications.
- Perform routine maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting on CNC machinery to ensure optimal performance.
- Use hand tools, calipers, and other measuring devices to verify dimensions and ensure quality control standards are met.
- Operate forklifts and warehouse equipment as needed for material handling and part movement.
- Assist with welding, assembly, packaging, and other related manufacturing tasks as required.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols.
- Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines while ensuring precision and quality.
Experience
- Proven experience operating CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, or similar equipment in a manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with Fanuc controls, CNC programming, CAD software such as SolidWorks, and blueprint reading is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of mechanical systems, machining processes, welding techniques, and quality control procedures.
- Experience with forklift operation and warehouse procedures is a plus.
- Basic math skills including measurements with calipers and understanding of tolerances required for precision machining.
- Prior work experience in manufacturing or machining industries demonstrating strong mechanical aptitude is desirable.
