JOB DESCRIPTION: Pharmacy Assistant needed to support pharmacy staff by assisting with the technical components of dispensing within the pharmacy
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Fill prescriptions accurately, efficiently, and safely
- Accurate data entry of patient and prescription information
- Process and prepare blister packs
- Assist with inventory management
- Assist with cashier responsibilities, as required
- Respond to customer inquiries: in store, over the phone, and via email
- Engage with customers in a warm and positive manner
- Communicate effectively with other health care professionals
- Ensure work area is kept clean and well-organized
- Actively seek out new and innovative ways to improve processes
- Work together with retail staff and pharmacy staff in a collaborative, team environment centered on customer care
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Previous experience in retail pharmacy
- Proficient in Fillware dispensary software
- Proficient in English (speaking and writing)
- Interest in compounding is an asset
- Strong attention to detail
- Professional, self-motivated individual with a team player attitude
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with both team members and customers
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work under minimal supervision
- Flexible work hours (some evenings and weekends)
