Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Hand Framing Carpenter with a passion for precision and craftsmanship to lead framing operations on luxury custom home builds.
This is not production framing. Our projects demand accuracy, planning, and a high level of finish—even at the framing stage. The ideal candidate takes pride in their work, leads by example, and understands that quality framing is the foundation of an exceptional home.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and work alongside a framing crew on high-end custom homes
- Execute complex layouts including vaulted ceilings, custom rooflines, large openings, and detailed structural elements
- Interpret architectural drawings, structural plans, and engineered details with precision
- Ensure framing is plumb, straight, square, and built to tight tolerances
- Coordinate closely with site supervisors, project managers, and other trades to maintain build quality and schedule
- Proactively identify and resolve design or site challenges
- Maintain an exceptionally clean, safe, and organized job site
- Train and mentor crew members with a focus on craftsmanship and efficiency
- Maintain a strong pace of work without compromising quality
- Assist with material planning and ensure efficient use of resources
Qualifications & Requirements
- 5–10+ years of residential framing experience, with custom home experience preferred
- Proven experience leading a crew on-site
- Strong understanding of advanced framing techniques and structural systems
- Ability to read and interpret complex architectural and structural drawings
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license
- Physically capable of performing demanding construction work
- Experience with ICF Foundations
Preferred Qualifications
- Red Seal Carpenter certification (or equivalent)
- Experience with architect-driven builds and custom designs
- Familiarity with engineered lumber products (LVL, steel beams, etc.)
- Working at Heights, WHMIS, and First Aid certifications

Pay: $20.00-$40.00 per hour
