Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Drywaller to join our construction team. The Drywaller will be responsible for installing, finishing, and repairing drywall surfaces in residential and commercial projects. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with drywall tools and materials, a strong work ethic, and the ability to deliver high-quality results within deadlines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Measure, cut, and fit drywall panels to specific dimensions.
- Install drywall sheets on walls, ceilings, and other surfaces.
- Tape, mud, and sand seams to create smooth, finished surfaces.
- Repair existing drywall, including patching holes, cracks, and other damages.
- Mix and apply joint compound to seams and corners.
- Ensure surfaces are properly prepared for painting or finishing.
- Operate hand and power tools safely and effectively.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Follow building codes, safety standards, and project specifications.
- Collaborate with team members, contractors, and site supervisors to ensure project timelines are met.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Drywaller or in a similar construction role.
- Strong knowledge of drywall installation techniques, materials, and tools.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Physical stamina and the ability to lift, carry, and position heavy drywall sheets.
- Attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Safety-conscious with knowledge of construction site safety practices.
Preferred:
- Experience with both residential and commercial projects.
- Own set of tools and reliable transportation.
Work Environment:
- Construction sites (indoor and outdoor).
- May involve standing, bending, lifting, and working at heights for extended periods.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
