- Greeting clients who enter the clinic in a warm, welcoming demeanor and in a timely manner.
- Be understanding and accommodating of clients’ needs and concerns.

- Handle all patients with respect, patience, and with the least force necessary to complete examinations and procedures in a safe manner.

Duties:
Essential duties and responsibilities for Receptionists:
- Answer all phone calls in a timely manner.
- Return voicemail messages.
- Write down detailed messages if needed.
- Record all client communications in EzyVet.
- Schedule appointments and procedures while maintaining operational flow.
- Create new client and patient files in EzyVet.
- Check-in clients for appointments.
- Manage record requests between hospitals, faxing prescriptions to pharmacies, and referrals to specialists.
- Request medical files for new patients from their previous clinic if applicable.
- Monitor the schedule and flow.
- Upload medical files and diagnostic results that have been faxed/emailed into EzyVet and notify the veterinarians.
- Process payment transactions:
- Issue refunds and credits when approved by a veterinarian
- Process Prescription Diet returns and complete necessary paperwork.
- Shred documents and any personal client information after scanning and uploading them into EzyVet.
- Count the cash float at the beginning and the end of the shift.
- Manage email and social media accounts as directed by a veterinarian.
- Dust, clean and sanitize, and organize the retail and waiting room areas.
- Clean examination rooms after clients and patients have finished their appointment.
- Take out the garbage and recycling at least once daily, or more often if directed by a veterinarian.
- Clean the kitchen and bathroom minimum once per week or more often if needed.
- Refill the paper towel and toilet paper dispensers as needed.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $16.00-$17.00 per hour
