Acumen Machine Ltd. is a fast paced machine shop in search of an Administrative Assistant to join our team.
This role provides administrative support to managers and employees to ensure efficient operations including a variety of tasks including and not limited to:
- Reception duties: Answering phones, greeting customers, calling customers, making coffee
- Scan, upload and maintain documents in both electronic and manual filing systems
- Filing, typing, copying, send/receive/monitor emails
- Handling of confidential and time sensitive documents
- Purchasing of supplies and materials from requesting quotes, issuing purchase orders and receiving
- Review, prepare & submit sales quotes, confirm customer purchase orders and prepare work orders
- Maintain material and customer price books
- Shipping and receiving
The ideal candidate must be:
- Available full-time in person Monday to Friday 8am to 4:30pm (no remote work)
- Organized
- Multi-tasker
- Responsible
- Self-motivated
- Fast learner
With experience in:
- Sage Accounting Software
- Microsoft 365 Software
- Reception Duties (1 year preferred)
- Administrative Assistant Duties (1 year preferred)
