Responsibilities
- Design and deliver dynamic mental math activities tailored to children’s age and skill levels
- Use innovative teaching tools and computer-based resources to make math enjoyable and accessible
- Encourage active participation through games, challenges, and group exercises that promote critical thinking
- Assess each child's progress regularly and provide constructive feedback to support their growth
- Maintain a safe, welcoming classroom environment that inspires curiosity and confidence
- Collaborate with parents and fellow educators to track student development and share success stories
- Incorporate special education strategies when needed to ensure all children can thrive in the learning process
Requirements
- Prior experience working with children in educational or tutoring settings, especially in math or related subjects
- Strong knowledge of mental math techniques, teaching methods, and classroom management skills
- Passion for teaching, with the ability to motivate and energize young learners
- Clear communication skills and patience to support diverse learning needs
You will be teaching groups of up to 12 children around the GTA. Reliable transportation is needed.
