Job Title: Experienced Low Voltage Security & Systems Technician (Contract)
Pay Rate: $40.00 – $60.00 per hour (based on experience)

Location: Lower Mainland / Metro Vancouver, BC
About the Role
We are seeking a skilled, independent Low Voltage Technician for an immediate 30-day contract, with strong potential for ongoing work and contract extensions. You will be responsible for installing, terminating, and configuring low-voltage infrastructure across commercial and residential sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, pull, dress, and terminate structured cabling (Cat5e/Cat6) for data, security, and access control.
- Install and mount security cameras (IP, 180° panoramic, PTZ, varifocal), NVRs, and network hardware.
- Install, wire, and configure access control hardware (door controllers, electric strikes, magnetic locks, card readers, and video door stations/intercoms).
- Install and wire intrusion alarm systems and peripheral sensors.
- Test, troubleshoot, and commission installed systems to ensure full functionality.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Experience: Proven hands-on experience installing low-voltage cabling, IP camera systems, access control, and alarm panels.
- English Proficiency: Expert-level written and spoken English is required for clear client communication and technical coordination.
- Tools & Gear: Must possess your own hand tools and trade-specific tools (crimpers, punch-downs, wire strippers, basic power tools, multi-meter, etc.). Special equipment provided as needed.
- Vehicle & License: Must have a reliable work vehicle and a valid driver’s license.
- Phone: Must have a working smartphone for job updates, app testing, and communication.
- Background Check: Must be able to pass a clean criminal record check.
Schedule & Compensation
- Pay Range: $40.00 to $60.00 / hour
- Contract Duration: 30 Days (Full-time hours, extension possible based on performance and workload)
