Civil 3d Drafting Technician – Highway Design
Highway & Transportation Engineering - Bragg Creek, Alberta | Full-Time
At Eagle Engineering, we don't believe great drafting is simply producing drawings, it is helping deliver successful projects.
We're looking for an Experienced Drafting Technician who is proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D and can become productive immediately. You'll work on Alberta highway and transportation projects while supporting our engineers, project managers, contractors, and clients from preliminary design through construction.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys creating accurate, well-organized drawing packages, but is also interested in field activities, and learning to understand how projects are constructed.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Prepare high quality engineering drawings using AutoCAD Civil 3D
- Support contract administration and construction services
- Be a valuable member of our team, working directly with engineers and technologists
- Help improve drafting standards, consistency and project documentation
- Be flexible to various phases of the project cycle and able to work longer hours when required
- Potential to be included in field surveys, site inspections and construction observations
- Assist in the collection of field information and incorporate into design drawings
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Technical Qualifications
- Strong proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D with approximately 5+ years drafting experience
- Valid Class 5 Driver's Licence with a clean driving abstract
- Willingness to travel throughout Southern and Central Alberta as required
- Experience with highway, transportation or municipal infrastructure projects is a definite asset
- Experience with GPS survey equipment, construction inspection, materials testing, or Alberta Transportation projects is an asset.
