We are currently seeking an experienced conveyancer to join our team and support our growing volume of residential and commercial transactions. Qualifications
- Completion of a Legal Administrative Assistant or Paralegal program
- Minimum 5+ years of conveyancing experience
- Strong command of the English language, both written and verbal
- Ability to manage and prioritize a high volume of files in a deadline‑driven environment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365, LTSA, BC Online, and Goveyance
- Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Professional, friendly, and client‑service oriented, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships
Key Responsibilities
- Preparing and organizing client file materials, including opening files, updating client information, maintaining a diary system, and responding to general inquiries
- Drafting, typing, and proofreading correspondence, undertakings and legal documents with a high degree of accuracy
- Conducting title searches, reviewing charges, and preparing documents for registration through LTSA and other platforms
- Managing and closing approximately 30 conveyancing files per month, including purchase, sale, and refinance transactions
- Coordinating with clients, lenders, realtors, and other parties to ensure smooth and timely closings
- All file reporting, including, but not limited to, dealing with STCs, holdbacks, and reports to clients, realtors, lenders, etc.
- Overseeing all aspects of each conveyancing file from initial intake through to closing and final reporting, ensuring a seamless client experience
- Experience with new developments and private mortgage transactions is considered an asset
