Position: Freelance Merchandising Associate

Position Summary:
A Merchandising Associate partners with J2’s clients to support their individual needs through high-level merchandising execution, store relationship building and open communication from the field.
Responsibilities will include; but not be limited to:
· Merchandising – including planograms and seasonal launches
· Training and education of sales personnel
· Special events support
· Knowledge transfer via checklists and email
· Stock and fill - sales floor and stock room
· Promotional and marketing support
· Store photos and feedback checklist required for each visit
· Fixture and Space Negotiation
Experience Requirements:
- 3+ years retail experience, vertical store, wholesale or branded apparel store
- Previous work experience as a merchandise manager at an apparel, accessory or footwear company
- Store management level at department store, vertical retailer or specialty store experience
- Exposure to training and presenting
- Exposure in relationship building
Required Skills:
- Ability to work independently
- Strong execution and implementation of planograms and directives
- Superior visual merchandising expertise
- Ability to work though ambiguity
- Communicates clearly, timely and effectively
- Intermediate computer knowledge
- Ability to train, inspire and relate with store personnel
- Ability to lift, bend and stand for extended periods of time
Job Type: Freelance
Pay: $18.00-$22.00 per hour
