Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Part Time Bakery Assistant to join our vibrant bakery team. This role involves assisting with daily bakery operations, preparing baked goods, and providing excellent customer service. The ideal candidate will have a passion for baking, food safety, and creating visually appealing treats, contributing to a welcoming environment for our customers.
Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing and baking a variety of baked goods, including cakes, pastries, and bread
- Decorate cakes and desserts with skillful cake decorating techniques to meet customer specifications
- Handle food preparation tasks such as mixing, measuring, and assembling ingredients
- Package baked items carefully for sale or delivery, ensuring quality standards are maintained
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bakery workspace in compliance with food safety regulations
- Provide friendly and efficient customer service at the counter or during product pickup
- Follow all food handling and safety procedures to ensure a safe environment for staff and customers
Requirements
- Previous experience in a bakery, restaurant, or food industry setting is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided
- Knowledge of cake decorating, baking techniques, and food preparation is a plus
- Strong understanding of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Kitchen experience or familiarity with food packaging is advantageous
- Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work part-time hours as scheduled
Pay: From $19.00 per hour
