Riverside Childcare Centre is seeking a passionate and dedicated ECE Assistant (ECEA), to join our team. Our centre provides a warm, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate environment for children from birth to school age.
Position Summary
Educators at Riverside Childcare Centre are responsible for delivering high-quality early childhood education programs, supporting children’s social, emotional, and cognitive development, and maintaining a safe and inclusive environment. All staff are expected to participate in ratio and work collaboratively with colleagues, families, and management.
Qualifications
✔ Valid ECE Assistant Certificate
✔ Minimum 1–2 years experience in a licensed childcare setting preferred
✔ Fluent in spoken and written English
✔ Current First Aid & CPR Level B or C
✔ Clear Criminal Record Check (Vulnerable Sector)
✔ Knowledge of BC Child Care Licensing Regulations and Fraser Health requirements
✔ Ability to work in a collaborative team and support children at all times
Responsibilities
- Plan and implement developmentally appropriate programs and activities for children
- Support children’s growth in a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment
- Maintain ratio requirements and provide supervision at all times
- Observe, document, and report on children’s progress
- Communicate regularly and professionally with families
- Follow all policies, procedures, and licensing requirements, including health & safety standards
- Participate in team meetings and professional development opportunities
Pay: $19.00 per hour
