Responsibilities
Operate and maintain a variety of equipment on civil construction and underground utility projects, including:
- Mini excavators
- Excavators
- Rubber tire backhoes
- Directional drills
- Cable Plows
- Gravel Trucks
- Trucks and trailers
- Various equipment attachments
Assist with general labour duties when required and work safely and efficiently as part of the crew.
Qualifications
- Experience operating a variety of heavy equipment
- 1000+ hours experience on backhoe and/or excavator
- Valid Class 5 driver's licence (Class 3 is an asset)
- Clean driver's abstract
- Able to pass a criminal record check
- Willing to perform physical labour when required
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude
- Reliable, punctual, and safety-focused
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
Assets
- Class 3 driver's licence
- Directional drilling experience
- Experience with underground utility construction
- Mechanical aptitude
- Experience working on the Rail
