Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Auto Body Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in automotive repair and bodywork, with a strong focus on quality craftsmanship and safety. This role involves preparing a custom fibreglass body for painting, ensuring customer satisfaction through expert service and attention to detail. Prior dealership experience and mechanical knowledge are highly valued, along with proficiency in using various hand and power tools.
Duties
- Repair and restore vehicle body using appropriate techniques and tools.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment to complete repairs efficiently
- Assess body imperfections to determine necessary repairs.
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and manufacturer specifications
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety and efficiency
- Collaborate with team members to meet repair deadlines and quality standards
- Conduct quality inspections post-repair to ensure vehicles meet industry standards
Requirements
- Proven dealership experience or automotive repair background preferred
- Mechanical knowledge of vehicle systems and repair procedures
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and heavy lifting equipment
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when handling vehicle parts or equipment
- Experience with automotive bodywork, collision repair, or related fields is desirable
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality workmanship
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while adhering to safety protocols
- Prior mechanic experience is advantageous but not mandatory; relevant training will be provided as needed
Pay: $40.00-$60.00 per hour
