Who You Are
You are reliable, detail-oriented, and take pride in maintaining a clean, safe, and compliant food production environment. You understand that sanitation is critical to food safety, product quality, and overall operations success.
You are comfortable performing hands-on cleaning tasks, following strict procedures, and working with sanitation tools and chemicals responsibly. You take ownership of your work, follow schedules closely, and contribute positively to a fast-paced operations team.
This role is ideal for someone looking for a structured evening routine and consistent part-time hours.
Key Responsibilities
At the Beginning of Each Shift:
- Check and refill all facility dispensers, including doorway hand sanitizers.
- Perform initial trash collection, removing all garbage and disposing of it properly.
Office & Common Areas:
- Clean, sanitize, and wipe down coffee tables, desks, and shared tables.
- Clean glass windows, ledges, and dust facility surfaces.
- Sweep and mop floors thoroughly; disinfect high-touch points including doors, handles, and locks.
Washroom Maintenance (Upstairs):
- Deep clean and sanitize hand basins, toilets, faucets, and plungers.
- Scrub wall tiles, doors, floors, and perform detailed corner spot-checks.
- Ensure all door handles and high-touch surfaces are completely disinfected.
Staircase & Walkways:
- Dust and sanitize handrails and railings.
- Sweep and mop all steps and landing areas.
Kitchen & Production Area:
- Clean all hand basins and dishwashing sinks (removing all food waste and wiping down exteriors).
- Clean hood vents, appliances, burners, ranges, and ovens.
- Thoroughly wash and sanitize walls behind the burners to remove grease and residue.
- Remove all trash and install fresh liners.
Cooler Storage Areas:
- Wipe down and sanitize product storage racks, including cleaning behind and underneath them.
- Remove any food debris from the floor; sweep and mop cooler floors entirely.
- Sanitize cooler strip curtains and spot-check/wipe down all cooler walls.
Dishwashing Area:
- Clean all dishwashing sinks, clear out the dishwasher filter, and remove food waste.
- Clean, wash, and sanitize all stainless steel walls and dish pit curtains.
- Sweep and mop floors, paying close attention to corners and tight spaces.
- Check, monitor, and record all chemical levels, replacing containers when empty.
What You Bring
- Previous experience in commercial cleaning, janitorial work, or food facility sanitation is highly preferred.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to high cleanliness and hygiene standards.
- Ability to work independently during evening hours while remaining highly accountable.
- Physical ability to stand for long periods, perform repetitive bending/reaching tasks, and lift up to 40 lbs.
- Comfortable working with industrial cleaning chemicals and wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Exceptional reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.
