Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Pharmacy Assistant to support our pharmacy team in providing exceptional patient care. Duties
- Assist licensed pharmacists with medication preparation and dispensing
- Manage inventory of pharmaceuticals and supplies, ensuring stock levels are maintained
- Provide excellent patient care by answering questions and guiding patients on medication usage
- Prepare prescription labels and organize medication orders accurately
- Maintain accurate documentation of prescriptions and patient records
- Support administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, and processing insurance claims
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols, medical terminology standards, and pharmacy regulations
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to facilitate smooth pharmacy operations
Experience
- Prior experience in a hospital or pharmacy setting is preferred but not required
- Experience as a pharmacy technician or in patient care roles is highly advantageous
- Knowledge of medical terminology and medication administration processes is beneficial
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are essential
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare staff
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism
