Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Restaurant Manager to oversee daily operations in a fast-paced food service environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring exceptional customer service, maintaining high standards of food safety and quality, and leading a team of staff members. This role requires strong leadership, organizational skills, and a deep understanding of the food industry, including restaurant management, food preparation, and hospitality best practices. The Restaurant Manager will play a key role in creating a welcoming atmosphere for guests while managing all aspects of restaurant operations efficiently and effectively.
Responsibilities
- Supervise daily restaurant operations to ensure smooth service and high customer satisfaction
- Manage and motivate staff, including interviewing, hiring, training, and scheduling team members
- Oversee food preparation and ensure adherence to food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with suppliers to maintain stock of necessary supplies
- Handle cash handling, POS transactions (including Micros POS systems), and financial reporting accurately
- Ensure compliance with health regulations and safety protocols across the restaurant
- Address customer concerns promptly to resolve issues and enhance guest experience
- Maintain cleanliness and organization within the kitchen and dining areas
- Assist in menu planning, including overseeing food presentation and quality control
- Lead by example in hospitality, serving as a role model for excellent customer service and professionalism
Skills
- Proven experience in restaurant management or food service leadership roles
- Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety standards
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS or similar platforms
- Supervising experience with the ability to manage teams effectively
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on hospitality excellence
- Leadership qualities with the ability to motivate staff and foster teamwork
- Experience in interviewing, hiring, training, and developing restaurant staff
- Knowledge of kitchen operations, food handling procedures, and restaurant best practices
- Ability to manage cash handling accurately and efficiently
- Background in the food industry or hospitality sector; hotel or barista experience is a plus
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in all aspects of restaurant operations
