Job Summary:
The Production Line Operator position is for a 4-month seasonal term. The operators are members of the Warehouse Operations Team. Team members will strive to provide a positive customer experience and excellent service to the end user through safe operation and quality work. The Production Line Operators will accountable for ensuring that their work in an industrial environment is carried out safely and efficiently each day.
Responsibilities:
- Work safely in a fast-paced industrial environment
- Accurately operate production equipment in an assembly line environment
- Handle packaging materials to palletize products for inventory
- Communicate openly with team members to accomplish daily production targets
Qualifications:
- Committed to work safely in a respectful work environment
- 1-2 years experience in an industrial environment (Ag Chemical experience will be considered an asset)
- Ability to work independently while contributing as part of a team
- Possession of current (within last 2 years) or successful completion of online Workplace Hazardous Materials Information Systems Training (WHMIS) within 2 weeks of start date.
- Fluency in English (Written and Oral)
- Ability to interpret instructions and follow process
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time
- Able to maintain a consistent physical pace throughout the day to prevent stoppages to Production Line
- Ability to individually lift up to 50 pounds and move up to 85 pounds with assistance
- Compliance with the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) for extended periods of time
- Must be able to work flexible work hours depending on production requirements
- Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
