About the Role
Core Mechanical is looking for an experienced Mechanical Project Manager to lead residential and commercial mechanical projects from pre-construction through completion.
We are looking for someone with strong project management skills and practical knowledge of plumbing systems and the BC Plumbing Code. The successful candidate will be comfortable working with clients, consultants, general contractors, field teams, and internal BIM/VDC teams to deliver projects safely, efficiently, and profitably.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage mechanical projects from award through closeout.
- Develop and manage project budgets, schedules, procurement, and forecasting.
- Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, contracts, and project documentation.
- Review mechanical and plumbing drawings for constructability, coordination, and code compliance.
- Apply practical knowledge of the BC Plumbing Code to identify and resolve issues.
- Coordinate mechanical systems with architectural, structural, electrical, and other trades.
- Work closely with forepersons, field teams, BIM/VDC, consultants, and GCs.
- Identify project risks and proactively resolve issues affecting cost, schedule, or quality.
- Lead project meetings and maintain strong client and consultant relationships.
- Support commissioning, deficiencies, and project closeout.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to Project Coordinators and junior team members.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of mechanical construction project management experience.
- Strong understanding of plumbing systems and construction.
- Working knowledge of BC Plumbing Code.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical and plumbing drawings and specifications.
- Experience managing budgets, schedules, change orders, RFIs, and contracts.
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with commercial, institutional, industrial, or high-rise construction is preferred.
- Plumbing trade experience, Red Seal certification, or Foreperson experience is an asset.

Pay: $90,000.00-$120,000.00 per year
