Application question(s):
- Will you wear the proper PPE provided for the job? You will be required to wear full Tyvek suits and/or half or full-face masks for certain jobs. Masks require a person to be clean shaven (if that applies to you).
- A positive attitude matters. Tell us whether you’re ambitious, respectful, easy to work with, a good communicator and listener, and someone who genuinely wants to help co workers, clients, and others — and explain why.
- Restoration work can be dirty. Flooded basements and sewer backups are the norm. Are you able and willing to work in these conditions?
- Restoration work requires documentation and tracking throughout your workday. Do you have basic computer and/or tablet/iPad experience? Are you comfortable operating a phone to navigate through applications and record info as instructed?
- Are you able to work later than scheduled when required? A job sometimes requires an additional hour or two of overtime to be fully complete. Being available to work a bit extra to get the job done is helpful (vs returning the next day for a quick finish). Overtime is paid
- Tell us about your previous experience using hand and power tools. If you have never used power tools, are you willing to learn?
- Our team operates on a rotating after-hours emergency on-call schedule (compensated with premium and overtime rates). How would this fit into your current routine, and are there any specific constraints or concerns we should be aware of regarding your ability to respond to after-hours calls?
- Regularly driving company vehicles is a key part of this role. How would you describe your current driving record and overall comfort behind the wheel?
- This is a physically demanding role. On a daily basis, you will be lifting and carrying heavy items (50+ lbs), climbing stairs, and moving bulky furniture or wet, damaged materials out of homes.
Are you physically able to safely perform heavy manual labor and lift up to 50 lbs continuously throughout an 8 hour shift?
Licence/Certification:
- Canadian Driver's License (required)
Work Location: In person
