Job Summary:
We’re currently looking for an experienced Barista / Team Member to join our growing team! The ideal candidate has hands-on experience making coffee in a café setting and can confidently create latte art. You’ll be preparing drinks, assisting with baking and snacks, and creating a welcoming environment for all guests.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare high-quality coffee, bubble tea, and other beverages consistently
- Perform latte art and demonstrate strong barista skills
- Assist in baking, preparing snacks and breakfast items
- Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting café space
- Deliver friendly, attentive customer service at all times
- Handle cash register and POS transactions accurately
- Assist with inventory management and restocking
- Follow all health and safety regulations
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth daily operations
Qualifications:
- Previous barista or café experience is required
- Strong knowledge of coffee preparation techniques (espresso, lattes, etc.)
- Latte art experience is highly preferred
- Passion for customer service and hospitality
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Food Safety Certification (preferred)
- Smart Serve (preferred)
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
Job Details:
- Job Type: Full-time
- Pay: $16.00 – $18.00 per hour (based on experience)
- Expected Hours: 30 – 40 per week
- Location: In person – Saint John, NB
