Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Automotive Upholsterer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for restoring and customizing vehicle interiors, ensuring high-quality craftsmanship and attention to detail. This role involves working with various tools and materials to refurbish or upgrade automotive upholstery, providing customers with a professional and polished finish. Prior dealership experience and mechanical knowledge are highly valued, as well as a strong understanding of automotive repair processes.
Responsibilities
- Remove old or damaged upholstery from vehicles with precision and care
- Measure, cut, and install new upholstery materials, including fabric, leather, or vinyl
- Use hand tools, power tools, and heavy lifting equipment to perform installations and repairs
- Assist in customizing vehicle interiors according to customer specifications
- Ensure all work meets safety standards and quality expectations
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and on schedule
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace to promote safety and productivity
Experience
- Prior dealership experience is preferred but not required
- Mechanical knowledge related to automotive systems is advantageous
- Experience working with hand tools, power tools, and heavy lifting equipment
- Background in automotive repair or mechanic work is a plus
- Familiarity with automotive interior components and upholstery techniques is desirable
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
