Duties
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and presentation standards
- Assist in food preparation, including chopping, marinating, and assembling ingredients
- Ensure all food is cooked to proper temperatures and meets safety standards
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including washing dishes and sanitizing surfaces
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate needs for restocking ingredients and supplies
- Serve food efficiently to ensure timely delivery to guests
- Follow all food safety protocols and proper food handling procedures at all times
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations during busy hours
Experience
- Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred
- Familiarity with food preparation, cooking techniques, and meal assembly
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper kitchen hygiene practices
- Experience with food handling, serving, and maintaining cleanliness in a commercial kitchen setting
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Strong teamwork skills with excellent communication abilities
