Job Summary
We are seeking a responsible and attentive Bus Driver to safely transport passengers, including children and seniors, within designated routes. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a strong sense of customer service, and the ability to operate commercial vehicles efficiently. Bilingual abilities in Spanish and English are highly valued to serve diverse communities effectively. Responsibilities
- Safely operate buses along assigned routes, adhering to traffic laws and safety regulations
- Transport passengers such as children, seniors, or community members with care and professionalism
- Assist passengers with boarding and alighting, providing support as needed for senior or disabled individuals
- Maintain cleanliness and basic mechanical checks of the vehicle before and after shifts
- Communicate effectively with passengers, staff, and dispatchers to coordinate schedules and address concerns
- Ensure passenger safety at all times by enforcing rules and managing behavior when necessary
- Keep accurate records of trips, passenger counts, and any incidents during transit
- Provide excellent customer service by being courteous, approachable, and responsive to passenger needs
Requirements
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with passenger endorsement
- Proven experience working with children, seniors, or in customer service roles
- Multilingual skills preferred; fluency in Spanish and English is highly desirable
- Strong communication skills for interacting with diverse passenger groups and team members
- Knowledge of vehicle maintenance basics and mechanical knowledge is a plus
- Ability to teach safety procedures or provide instructions clearly when needed
- Excellent driving record with a focus on safety and responsibility
- Ability to work flexible hours including mornings, afternoons, or evenings as required
- Strong written communication skills for record keeping and reporting purposes
Pay: $16.42-$28.47 per hour
