Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Warehouse Manager to oversee daily warehouse operations, ensure efficient materials management, and optimize supply chain processes. The ideal candidate will possess strong supervisory skills, proficiency with warehouse management systems and ERP platforms, and a solid understanding of logistics, procurement, and distribution. This role is vital for maintaining seamless order fulfillment, inventory accuracy, and continuous process improvement within our warehouse environment.
Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate all warehouse activities including receiving, storage, order fulfillment, and shipping.
- Supervise warehouse staff to ensure productivity, safety, and adherence to company policies.
- Utilize Warehouse Management System (WMS), ERP systems such as AS400, and other software to track inventory levels, process orders, and manage data accurately.
- Oversee materials management, procurement processes, and purchasing activities to ensure optimal stock levels.
- Plan demand forecasting and coordinate freight logistics with third-party logistics providers (3PL) to meet delivery deadlines.
- Implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and reduce costs through continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations; operate forklifts safely and oversee equipment maintenance.
- Develop budgets related to warehouse operations and monitor expenses to stay within financial targets.
- Collaborate with supply chain partners to streamline distribution channels and optimize warehouse distribution strategies.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory movements, procurement activities, and shipping documentation.
Requirements
- Proven experience in warehouse management with supervising experience in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong knowledge of Warehouse Management System (WMS), ERP systems (including AS400), and supply chain software such as demand planning tools.
- Hands-on experience with materials management, order fulfillment, procurement, freight logistics, and 3PL coordination.
- Proficiency in using forklifts; relevant certifications preferred.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Demonstrated ability for process improvement initiatives and continuous operational enhancements.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to supervise teams effectively while fostering a safety-conscious work environment.
- Knowledge of budgeting principles related to warehouse operations.
- Familiarity with procurement practices and supply chain management strategies is highly desirable.
