Construction Labourer Job Description
Farrow Built is seeking a reliable, hardworking, and growth-minded Construction Labourer to join our production team.
This role supports the construction, repair, and maintenance of post-frame buildings and related structures. The Construction Labourer works closely with lead techs, crew members, and site leaders to complete projects safely, efficiently, and to Farrow Built’s quality standards.
The ideal candidate is physically capable, coachable, dependable, and ready to contribute to a high-performance team. Previous construction experience is an asset, but a strong work ethic, positive attitude, and willingness to learn are essential.

Essential Functions
- Assist with construction, repair, and maintenance of post-frame buildings
- Support framing, cladding, siding, roofing, trim, and general construction tasks
- Load, unload, carry, organize, and move building materials
- Safely handle tools, ladders, equipment, and job site materials
- Help prepare job sites and maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas
- Assist crew members with measuring, cutting, fastening, lifting, and assembly
- Follow instructions from lead techs, supervisors, and site leaders
- Work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions
- Follow company safety procedures and job site expectations
- Show up on time, prepared, and ready to contribute to the team
- Represent Farrow Built professionally when interacting with customers, trades, suppliers, and team members
Qualifications
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude
- Reliable, punctual, and accountable
- Willingness to learn and take direction
- Ability to work well as part of a team
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, physical construction environment
- Basic knowledge of hand tools and power tools is an asset
- Previous experience in construction, framing, roofing, siding, agriculture, or general labour is an asset
- Valid driver’s licence and reliable transportation are preferred
- Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Construction or labour experience is preferred but not required
- Experience with post-frame buildings, framing, cladding, siding, roofing, or repairs is considered an asset
- Training will be provided for candidates who demonstrate the right attitude, reliability, and willingness to learn
Physical and Environmental Requirements
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull heavy materials
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, and perform repetitive physical tasks throughout the day
- Comfortable working outdoors in changing weather conditions
- Comfortable working around tools, equipment, ladders, scaffolding, and active construction sites
- Ability to work at heights when required
- Ability to follow safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment
- Must be able to perform physically demanding work for extended periods
