Mint Day Spa is seeking a receptionist! Located downtown Revelstoke, Mint is a fast growing, upscale day spa offering massage, facials, laser hair removal, waxing, lashes, brows, pedicures, and other wellness services.
Our spa is located in a beautifully renovated heritage building, with custom-built treatment rooms, electric treatment beds, tall windows, and stunning mountain views. We are a close-knit, supportive, and passionate team who genuinely care about our clients, our work, and creating a great place to work.
We are looking for a warm, organized, proactive, and confident receptionist to become an important part of our team.
About the Role
As the Mint Day Spa Receptionist, you are the first point of contact for our clients and an important part of their overall spa experience.
You will help create a welcoming, organized, and seamless experience for our clients from the moment they arrive until they leave. This is a varied role that combines customer service, scheduling, administration, and day-to-day spa support.
The ideal candidate enjoys working with people, has excellent attention to detail, stays calm in a busy environment, and takes pride in creating a beautiful and welcoming space.
Responsibilities:
- Welcome and assist clients throughout their spa experience
- Answer phone calls, emails, and client inquiries
- Book, confirm, reschedule, and manage appointments
- Process payments and maintain accurate transactions
- Support practitioners and help keep the daily schedule running smoothly
- Maintain clean, organized, and welcoming treatment rooms and reception areas
- Restock supplies, sanitize equipment, and manage laundry
- Assist clients with rebooking, service recommendations, and retail purchases
- Open and close the spa and assist with general day-to-day operations
Requirements:
- 2 years experience in customer service, hospitality, retail, reception, or similar experience
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Excellent organization and time management
- Comfortable using computers, email, and basic office applications
- Comfortable learning booking and POS software
- Experience handling cash and card payments
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality when working with client information
- Comfortable going up and down stairs multiple times per day
- Able to carry laundry bags and supply boxes between floors
- Able to perform physical tasks related to spa upkeep, including cleaning and resetting treatment rooms and common areas
Assets (not required):
- Previous spa, salon, wellness, hotel, or medical reception experience
- Retail sales experience
- Cleaning or housekeeping experience
- Experience with booking or POS software
- Knowledge of skincare, massage, wellness, or beauty services
