Summary
The 310T Apprentice, you will work under the supervision of licensed mechanics, performing maintenance, repair, and inspection of heavy-duty trucks and trailers. This hands-on role will provide you with the skills and knowledge needed to become a fully licensed 310T Truck and Coach Technician. Job Duties
- Support the diagnosis and repair of heavy-duty trucks, trailers, and other vehicles, including engines, transmissions, braking systems, and electrical components.
- Help perform routine inspections, oil changes, lubrication, and fluid checks on vehicles to ensure they meet safety standards.
- Use computerized diagnostic equipment and tools under supervision to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues.
- Accurately record maintenance and repair work performed, including parts used and time spent on tasks.
- Collaborate with experienced mechanics and other team members to ensure the efficient completion of tasks.
- Communicate with service manager, lead hand, or peers – Providing them with relevant information and soliciting their help
- Adhere to company policies, safety regulations, and industry standards while ensuring a safe and organized work environment.
- Learn proper use and care of tools and equipment used for vehicle maintenance and repairs.
- Keep up-to-date technically and apply new knowledge to your job.
- Assist in maintaining a clean and organized shop environment

Requirements
- Enrollment in or intent to enroll in a 310T Truck and Coach Technician apprenticeship program.
- Basic knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
- Willingness to learn and take direction from experienced mechanics.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, including lifting and maneuvering heavy parts.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Basic computer skills for diagnostic tools and record-keeping.
- Valid driver’s license (Class G or higher, Class D or AZ is an asset).
Work Conditions
- Physical ability to lift up to 50lb.
- Safety equipment will be required, e.g. steel-toed safety boots, safety glasses etc.
- Overtime as required.
- Hazards associated with trade.
- Work both indoors and outdoors.
Monday - Friday - 8 hour shift, some overtime and weekends may apply
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $27.00-$36.00 per hour
