Our company is seeking a Jr. Recruiter/Account Manager to become part of our team. Although our headquarters are in Toronto, ON, this remote position allows you to work from home.
The ideal candidate brings strong communication skills, a proactive attitude, above-average math abilities, and the capacity to multitask in a fast-paced setting. This role involves overseeing the full recruitment cycle for assigned positions—from crafting job descriptions and headhunting to screening candidates. You will collaborate closely with job seekers, building relationships, understanding their backgrounds and skills, and matching them to suitable roles that align with their interests and client needs. Preference will be given to candidates with at least one year of recruitment or sales experience.
You will also liaise with clients to identify their staffing requirements and relay those needs to our recruitment team.
Our company is headquartered in Toronto, ON, and this role is fully remote. Our operating hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30am–5:00pm EST. If you are outside the Eastern time zone, we expect you to accommodate these hours.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Collaborate with the account team to define openings and deliver top candidates to clients.
- Screen and conduct preliminary interviews using behavioral and competency-based techniques to present a shortlist for client interviews.
- Build and maintain a network of technical candidates.
- Manage the end-to-end recruitment lifecycle for assigned positions—from developing and posting job descriptions to onboarding candidates.
- Work with hiring managers to gather job requirements and expectations.
- Respond to inquiries via phone, email, and social media about our services.
- Develop strong relationships with hiring managers, business leaders, and other business lines.
- Follow up regularly with hiring managers and candidates to ensure timely recruitment processes.
- Evaluate candidates to confirm all areas are assessed against job requirements.
- Work with candidates and clients to obtain signed documentation for all placements.
- Prospect for new business related to staffing needs via phone, email, and other electronic means.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
- 1–2 years of recruitment or sales experience. NOTE: We do not consider “Customer Service” roles as Sales.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, plus team-based project experience.
- Organizational skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office/Excel/Google Meet.
- Must be results-driven, able to work on multiple tasks, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately.
- Ability and willingness to write job descriptions. We will not consider candidates who do not enjoy writing or adopt a “cut and paste” approach.
- Preference given to those who demonstrate above-average math skills.
